Saturday july 9, at the “Journée Champêtre en Apiculture” 2011, VIASCAN presented Bee@Scan, a solution of traceability for the hives.
Bee@Scan allows data collection on the field, by using scanners and bar code labels to track and monitor the hives. During this event, Mr. Francis Joannette, Territory Manager at VIASCAN presented to 180 bee-keepers the benefits of using Bee@Scan.
Bee-a-Scan allows BEE-KEEPERS :
-To maintain the register of in, out, and displacements of bees
-Access statistical data collection on the population of the hives, bees, and nuclei
-Doing Data collection of the inspections and data processing
-Traceability of the batches of honey: from the gather, the storage, the distribution to the shelves.
