How to justify an automatic data collection application
An effective method to determine the real cost associated with a WMS investment

You are a new manager and are given the responsibility to “justify the costs” pertaining to the investment of an automatic data collection application. You ask yourself the following questions: Where do I start? Is there an existing Excel spreadsheet at my disposal to establish a Return on Investment or aid as an “explanatory overview of costs”? What data do I require and how do other companies determine the cost of their investments when choosing a WMS? Could experience gained in another company prove useful to my company? What are the traps I must avoid?
